My cabin in the woods
I’m in! There are still a few things to be done like installing some trim and doorstop but I’m sleeping in my cabin! I haven’t put together a desk or decided on the folding bed but that all can wait. For now I’ll use my old wooden bunk (originally my mums as a child). Tonight is night two. I woke up this morning to the sound of Leo growling and ducks fighting. I think...
Green thumbs
Mum and dad have some seriously green thumbs. Check out Dad’s veggies (cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, peas, bean…) and mum’s flowers!
I’ve only just started the landscaping around the cabin. Hopefully my plants have a nice start this year so to fill in well next.
Rainy day work
Today was a great day at the lake. Dad and I finished installing the windows and trim, we took the paper off the floor that mum started varnishing and Shannon dropped by with some flowers for the garden.
Update
The siding is up, the windows are roughed in. I still need to coat the floor, build a step, put up some trim… And a few other things.
I love the way it is turning out. I can’t wait to sleep in my cabin in the woods.
I have window to wash
I still have a bunch of little jobs to do but the end is insight.
The siding is on it’s way up! Edged and trimmed!
Siding
My siding arrived from a local saw mill today. I bought too much. I could probably build a small shed for my cabin with all the extra. I forsee building many spruce planters in my future.
